The civil servant performs the following functions:
Represents the institution in relations with other institutions, organizations, and individuals upon delegation from the head of the institution.
Provides consultations on matters related to the activities of the structural division.
Makes decisions related to the activities of the structural division.
Prepares and submits proposals on issues within the scope of the structural division’s activities.
Oversees the processing of information relevant to the implementation of the division’s functions or processes such information if needed.
Oversees the execution of the division’s activities or, when necessary, carries them out directly.
Oversees the preparation and provision of information related to the division’s activities or prepares and provides such information if needed.
Oversees the drafting of documents related to the division’s activities or prepares such documents if necessary.
Manages the human resources of the structural division in accordance with applicable legislation.
Coordinates the transfer of documents from state and municipal institutions, agencies, and enterprises to the New Archive of the Lithuanian State.
Provides information to institutions and individuals on matters within the department's competence; ensures the issuance of certificates, certified copies, and extracts confirming facts indicated in submitted requests.
Ensures proper accounting and registration of preserved documents.
Organizes the operation of the archive's reading room.
Monitors the physical condition of stored documents and implements preservation measures.
Prepares departmental and institutional activity plans and reports; organizes and coordinates the drafting of legal act proposals related to archive operations.
Carries out assignments and tasks from the Director.
Acts as Deputy Director during the Director’s absence upon authorization.
Carries out other ad hoc tasks related to the institution’s activities.
Special Requirements:
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
Field of study: History, or
Field of study: Communication, or
Field of study: Public Administration;
Or:
University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
At least 5 years of work experience in document management and recordkeeping.
Foreign Language Requirement:
Language: English, German, French, or Russian;
Proficiency level: B1.
