The New Archive of the Lithuanian State Welcomes Guests from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania
On Friday, February 14, the New Archive of the Lithuanian State welcomed guests from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania. Prior to their visit, on the initiative of Minister of Justice Rimantas Mockus, the ministers of justice of independent Lithuania signed a Declaration on the Affirmation of Shared Legal Values. The declaration emphasizes the continued commitment to building an open justice system that upholds high standards of personal rights and freedoms and ensures accessibility to all individuals residing in Lithuania.

Prof. Pranas Kūris, Prof. Vytautas Pakalniškis, Prof. Jonas Prapiestis, Albertas Valys, Gintautas Bartkus, Prof. Dr. Gintautas Bužinskas, Dr. Remigijus Šimašius, Juozas Bernatonis, Ewelina Dobrowolska, and Rimantas Mockus.
During their visit, the delegation took part in a guided tour, had the opportunity to view the original Act of March 11, and explored the Archive’s new storage facilities. One of the signatories and former Minister of Justice, Jonas Prapiestis, once again saw his signature on the historic 1990 document that confirmed Lithuania’s independence.
